WHO WE ARE

Ewers Architecture was established with a charter to defy mediocrity in the pursuit of creating inspirational architecture. We produce functional, award-winning buildings on time and on budget.

The studio is design-focused and provides architectural and urban planning/design services. All commissions are seen as a design opportunity, and hence the practice is structured as an intimate

hands-on studio. This enables complete personal involvement from the team, which improves client-architect relationships, accountability and general project efficiency.

Presently, Ewers Architecture maintains a small client base comprising of government agencies, commercial developers, retailers and residential owners.

The main studios are located in West Melbourne & Ballarat with a small satellite studio in Geelong. The practice pursues projects throughout Victoria and has also completed more than 50 projects interstate.

OUR TEAM

ED EWERS

DIRECTOR  |  B.A. (ARCH)  |  B.ARCH  |  R.A.I.A

Edward is a graduate of Deakin University, Geelong. Following graduation, Ed travelled to America studying architecture at Montana State University. During this time, he was fortunate to work for renowned American architect, Will Bruder at his desert studio in Arizona.

Following architectural registration in 1997 Ed established Architecture Matters P/L where he was the design director. Although a particularly successful business, Ed sold his share in February 2007 and founded Ed Ewers Architecture.

Ed has been design director in over 200+ commissions and has featured in several national and international publications. He has received public recognition and commendation in a variety of design awards/competitions (some listed below).

Passionate about architecture & sustainability, Ed recently worked with Ambulance Victoria to deliver a NET ZERO BRANCH paper: investigating ways existing and future branches could achieve net zero carbon emissions.

Edward thrives on design challenges and his small part in promoting efficient, practical and inspired contributions to the built environment.
